Speeding Motorists at Whitecross



Residents at Whitecross, are concerned that motorists are ignoring the 30 mph speed limits, adjacent their properties.

With this in mind, the Parish Council is looking into the installation of speed monitors.

Currently the cost of the equipment is approx £10,000. We are looking for partners to contribute to the expense and will keep everyone posted.

The Drovers Trail, Brocton


Residents of Brocton are concerned that an established lane, known locally as the ‘Drovers Trail’, is currently up for disposal by Cornwall Council.

The Parish Council, has requested that Cornwall Council, formally make provision for public access, as a right of way for the use of, walkers and horse riders.

Mountain Biking, Bishops and Grogley Woods, Forestry Commission


A Forum Group, has been set up to monitor the use of Forestry Commission land for Extreme Mountain Biking, widely acknowledged as a ‘Dangerous Activity’.

The Parish Council has expressed some concerns, both from the perspective of  ‘other users’ and the Bio Security.  (spread of disease)

REG Windfarm, St Breock Downs.


The Parish Council is exploring the contribution, from the annual income, administered by 'WREN'.  The Parish Council would like to establish the criteria and route map required to enable local organisations to unlock, this valuable asset.

Burlawn, now owns its Telephone Box.


We are looking for new ideas for this wonderful asset..........Please get in touch with Ray Jarratt.

St Breock Parish Council meet at The Paddock Room, Hawksfield, near Wadebridge ( near the Padstow junction) commencing at 19.30. Please note: There are 2 Paddock rooms,  if you take the turning  past Strong Adolfos Café (this will then be on your left) and park in the “upper part” of the car park, the Paddock room is the room on the far end on the right (The Café will be behind you).


Members of the Public are welcome however, please note,  if you wish to speak (3 minutes) at a meeting you MUST notify the Clerk  to be added to the Agenda.

Our meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month with the exception of December when there will be no meeting.


The next Parish Council Meeting will be held on  Wednesday 11th September 2019, commencing at 19.30.
