St Breock Parish Council Burial Ground

ST BREOCK PARISH COUNCIL CEMETERY FEES     EFFECTIVE 1st OCTOBER 2020

 

Fees, Payments and Sums fixed and settled under Article 15 of the Local Authorities’ Cemeteries Order 1977 (no.204).

 

Guidance

 

  • For memorials erected on a grave space purchased solely for the interment of cremated remains, a maximum of six inscriptions will be permitted. Inscriptions to the front and rear of the headstone will be permitted.

 

  • All tablet memorials will be laid flush to earth level.

 

  • Fees are payable in advance.

 

  • The transfer of an exclusive right of burial where the rightful owner has made an application is £35 for both Parishioner and Non-Parishioner.

 

  • Fees vary depending on whether the deceased is either a Parishioner or Non-Parishioner. A Parishioner is as defined below.

 

  • For PARISHIONERS, no cemetery fees apply for children aged 16 years and under (including a stillborn child)

 

 

Definition of a PARISHIONER

 

A Parishioner is someone who:

 

  • Is normally resident within the St Breock Parish boundary.

 

  • Had been normally resident within the St Breock Parish boundary within FIVE years of the date of death.

 

  • Is the child* of parents (or of one parent) who, at the time of interment, are Parishioners;

 

  • Purchased the exclusive right to the grave space while a resident of St Breock Parish

 

 

* Whose age at the time of death did not exceed 16 years (including a stillborn child).

The size of the headstone must not exceed 2ft 6 inches by 3ft high

Permission to site a tablet in the memorial garden (this fee will be applied to the first and second inscription to include laying of tablet)

The size of the tablet must be 15 inches by 12 inches. Integral flower vases are NOT permitted – a separate flower vase to be placed in the border above the plots will be permitted

On the 1st September 2017, St Breock Parish Council Appointed a new Grounds/Maintainance Contractor to look after both the Burial Ground and Burlawn Playing Field. Lee has made fantastic progress and here are a selection of pictures taken before and after.

St Breock Parish Council will be holding their next meeting on Wednesday 14th October 2020 commencing @ 7pm at the Duchy Suite, Royal Cornwall Showground, Whiteross nr Wadebridge PL27 7JE.

This will be a "proper" meeting held observing strict social distancing guidlines.

Please note: it is imperative that you kindly inform the Clerk no later than 3 days prior to the meeting if you wish to attend as numbers will be restricted due to COVID 19.

Our meetings are normally held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month.

 Members of the Public are welcome however, please note,  if you wish to speak (3 minutes) at a meeting you MUST notify the Clerk no later than 3 days prior to the meeting .
